Who You Are

The ideal candidate is a dedicated and experienced social worker with a degree in Social Work or equivalent. They must be registered with Social Care Wales and possess a full and valid driving license. Preferred candidates will have experience in mental health settings and demonstrate a commitment to the principles of partnership and equality.

What the job involves

This role involves supporting individuals to resolve major life difficulties, enhancing their independence, and working within legislative and council policies. Responsibilities include assessing needs, risks, and options, working with individuals, families, and communities, and ensuring quality service across the city. The Senior Social Worker will supervise Grade 7 Social Workers and Social Work Assistants, actively participate in service planning, duty rotas, and supervision, manage complex or high-risk cases and provide guidance and training to team members.
