Job Description: EHCP Co-ordinator

Who You Are

You are an experienced and knowledgeable individual with a comprehensive understanding of the SENDIST Tribunal procedure and the Children & Families Act 2014. You possess strong communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills, and have a background in working with children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities. Your academic background includes being educated to a degree standard, with desirable qualifications in teaching or SENCO.

What the Job Involves

As an EHCP Co-ordinator, you will act as the main contact for parents, carers, and young people during the Education Health Care assessment process for ages 0-25. You'll coordinate assessments, prepare draft plans, and facilitate reviews of existing plans. Your role involves engaging with a range of stakeholders, including families, schools, and service providers across education, health, and social care sectors. You will support the council in identifying pupils with specialist needs, ensure compliance with statutory requirements, and contribute to strategic development within the SEN team.
