You possess a good understanding of health and safety regulations, ensuring compliance at all times. You are flexible, able to work both independently and as part of a team, and can fulfill a demanding work schedule, including weekends and out-of-hours duties.
What the Job Involves
This role requires you to perform a range of cleaning and maintenance tasks across council estates. Your responsibilities include ensuring communal areas are kept clean and safe, completing ground maintenance tasks, monitoring for safety and maintenance issues, and liaising with contractors. You will also support estate inspections, manage waste and recycling procedures, and address any emergency situations that may arise. Being the first point of contact for residents, you will provide excellent customer service and escalate concerns when necessary.
Skills
- Knowledge of cleaning materials and equipment
- Previous cleaning experience
- Understanding of health and safety regulations (COSHH)
- Data protection and confidentiality awareness
- Experience working with the public and vulnerable people
- Well-organized and detail-oriented
- Manual work and handling capability
- Good verbal communication skills
- Ability to work alone or in a team
- Clean driving licence and access to a vehicle
- Availability for out-of-hours work
