An experienced professional passionate about mental health social care. You have leadership capabilities and can effectively support and develop a team. You value collaboration with service users and care providers and are committed to enhancing service quality and ensuring statutory duties are met.

What the Job Involves

As an Assistant Team Manager, you will report to the Team Manager and support the operations of the Mental Health Social Care Team. Your responsibilities include recruitment, retention, workload allocation, and the provision of ongoing supervision to maintain high casework standards. You will act as a manager in the Duty Manager rota, handling safeguarding enquiries and supervising social workers. You will also be involved in reviewing complex cases, ensuring cost-effectiveness of commissioned services, managing hospital discharges, and co-producing service improvements with stakeholders.
